Hormone Yoga
Navigate every hormonal season with greater ease
What is Hormone Yoga?
Hormone Yoga Therapy is a specialised practice developed by Brazilian psychologist and yoga therapist Dinah Rodrigues. It combines dynamic yoga sequences with targeted breathing techniques and energy-directing exercises designed to naturally stimulate the hormonal glands, including the ovaries, thyroid, adrenal glands and pituitary.
Unlike a general yoga class, Hormone Yoga is a precise, therapeutic practice designed specifically to support women navigating hormonal imbalances and transitions at every stage of life.
Hormone Yoga works on multiple levels simultaneously:
Stimulating the endocrine glands through specific movement and breathwork sequences
Regulating the Hypothalamus-Pituitary-Ovarian (HPO) axis, the hormonal communication system at the heart of your cycle and reproductive health
Reducing cortisol through nervous system regulation and interrupting the stress-hormone loop
Improving circulation and energy flow through the pelvis and reproductive organs
Supporting insulin sensitivity through regular movement
Building emotional resilience and body awareness

Hormone Yoga isn't only for women with a diagnosis. Whether you're looking to support your cycle, increase your energy, or care for your hormones proactively, the practice offers a natural and holistic approach to women's health.
Why the Nervous System Comes First
The endocrine and nervous systems are inseparable. Chronic stress (even the quiet, everyday kind) keeps the body in a state of alert that directly disrupts hormonal signaling. Elevated cortisol stimulates excess androgen production, worsens insulin resistance, and suppresses ovulation.
When the nervous system learns to feel safe again, the body’s own balancing intelligence can come back online.
The goal isn’t just hormonal balance. It’s a body that feels like home.
